Yoga for Athletes

Amanda is currently working with athletes of all levels by designing sport-specific yoga sequences for private and group classes that enhance performance, build a stronger body and decrease injuries.   Using the applied techniques of yoga and meditation with an emphasis on biomechanics, athletes can expect to their increase strength, stability, flexibility, power, focus and concentration through this yoga program.

POWER VINYASA YOGA 

Power Vinyasa Yoga is a form of yoga that originates from the ancient, traditional Ashtanga series consisting of a fast-paced, dynamic flow of movements. It’s designed to detoxify, heal, burn fat, strengthen and revitalize the neuromuscular system while increasing endurance, focus, balance, flexibility. Through a series of transitions and progressions, this style of yoga is geared for beginners and pros, alike. You’ll leave class feeling more alive, clear-minded and at peace.

YOGA PRIVATES

After an initial assessment, Amanda will create a custom sequence based on your needs and goals. As your body and practice progresses, the sequence will be adjusted in order to allow you to evolve and grow. Become aware of your strengths and weaknesses in order to gain more insight and intelligence of the body you have using movements that allow your body to heal, gain strength and mobility. Learn to move consciously, breathe consciously, live consciously. Sessions may include therapeutic/Thai massage stretching techniques.
